Zagreb Stock Exchange the Best Financial Exchange in CEE according to Euromoney
The prestigious monthly magazine Euromoney has named the Zagreb Stock Exchange the best financial exchange in Central and Eastern Europe in the Best Managed Companies in CEE category.
The Euromoney ranking is based on a survey carried out among 25 analysts who cover Central and Eastern Europe and have voted for 53 companies. Respondents have been asked in the survey to name five leading companies in terms of strategy, corporate governance system, accessibility of senior management, transparency, shareholders value, usefulness of website etc.
This is the 10th annual edition of the Best Managed Companies in CEE award and the Best Financial Exchange in CEE category was introduced last year when the laureate was the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Regarding this award, Ivana Gažić, Zagreb Stock Exchange Management Board President, stated that: We are very pleased about this award, which is the proof that Zagreb Stock Exchange is recognized beyond local borders.
In recent years we have invested a lot of energy into improving the business activities, have introduced new products and services, and generally improve the efficiency of the market in order to create added value for the investors, listed companies and financial community. This award proves that we are going in the right direction and encourage us to further intensify our efforts to increase the visibility and recognition of domestic capital market.
Euromoney magazine was created in 1969 and it is the prime magazine of the wholesale financial world, its institutions and its users.
The Best managed companies in Central and Eastern Europe annual survey is one of the most prominent recognitions given by Euromoney magazine to corporations in Central and Eastern Europe. The survey rewards those companies with the most convincing and coherent business strategies by region, country and industry, as well as highlighting those which demonstrate sound practice of corporate governance.
