The Austrian crowd-investing platform Danube Angels GmbH starts a co-operation  with the Zagreb Stock Exchange and Funderbeam SEE. Funderbeam SEE is a joint venture of Funderbeam Market AS and the Zagreb Stock Exchange and as such responsible for the market activities in South-Eastern-Europe.

Since its founding in 2017, Danube Angels has offered investors the opportunity to invest in interesting growth companies from the DACH and CEE region. Within the future co-operation with the Zagreb Stock Exchange and Funderbeam SEE, the crowd platform from Vienna is now entering the Croatian market.

The Zagreb Stock Exchange and Funderbeam SEE are increasingly receiving financing requests from young Croatian companies, selecting the most promising ones and presenting them to Danube Angels as potential lead investors for a campaign on the financing platform Funderbeam. In the future, joint events, pitching sessions and webinars will also be held.

“Local knowledge and support are of imperative importance when entering a new market. We are honoured to add Croatia to our geographical reach and are looking forward to a fruitful and mutually beneficial co-operation”, says Paul G. Putz, Managing Director at Danube Angels.

“Zagreb Stock Exchange is devoted to provide equity financing options for companies at all stages of development. In partnership with Funderbeam we have managed to provide this to small, innovative and fast growing companies in Croatia. On this path, having right lead investors is of essence. Therefore, we are very happy to enter into partnership with Danube Angels and to enlarge the potential capital pool that will enable Croatia ́s economy to grow”, says Ivana Gažić, President of the Zagreb Stock Exchange Management Board.

“We are excited to partner with Danube Angels. Together with them and our investor base of 25 000 early-stage investors from 130 countries, we can fuel the growth of ambitious SEE companies. I am happy to see the growing interest from founders on how they can fundraise on Funderbeam”, added Ognjan Despot, Head of SEE region.
