Membership information: How to become an Exchange member?

Member of the Zagreb Stock Exchange can become an investment company or credit institution and a special financial institution headquartered in the Republic of Croatia or a Member State which fulfills the conditions stipulated by the Capital Market Act and Stock Exchange Rules.

The investment company or credit institution and special financial institutions from Member States (EU Member States and the signatory states of the Treaty on the European Economic Area) may become a member of the Zagreb Stock Exchange via remote access (remote member).

Special financial institutions can only be a member with the limited trading rights (exclusive right to conclude transactions for own account) .

Any person intending to become a member of the Exchange (hereinafter referred to as the applicant) shall submit an application for membership (Form 1.) on the prescribed form the content of which is defined by the Stock Exchange.

The applicant for membership must:
  • fulfill all the organizational, personnel and technical requirements for membership prescribed by the Stock Exchange Rules,
  • fulfill all the conditions laid down in the Stock Exchange Rules for participation in trading and providing access to the trading system, and in particular:
    • provide all necessary technical requirements for access to the trading system,
    • provide evidence of ensuring clearing and settlement of transactions on the trading system.
