30th Zagreb Stock Exchange conference / 14th fund industry conference
October 22, 2020, Rovinj, Croatia – The "Challenge of Change" conference, the ninth joint conference of the Zagreb Stock Exchange and the fund industry, has started in Rovinj, Croatia.
The conference is a central gathering of the financial community from Croatia and the region, which is usually attended by about 450 participants from all branches of the financial industry, from Croatia, the region and the world. This year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the conference hosted about 20 speakers and about 150 participants. The co-organizers of the Conference are the Zagreb Stock Exchange and the Association of Pension Fund Management Companies and Pension Insurance Companies (UMFO).
The conference was opened on behalf of the organizers by Petar Vlaić, President of the Management Board of the Erste d.o.o. mandatory and voluntary pension fund management company, and Ivana Gažić, President of the Management Board of the Zagreb Stock Exchange, emphasizing the satisfaction that the conference was organized in these challenging circumstances and thanking all participants for coming.
The participants were addressed by the Minister of Labour and Pension System, Family and Social Policy Mr. Josip Aladrović, followed by lectures by Mr. Ante Žigman, PhD, President of the Management Board of the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency, and Governor of the Croatian National Bank Mr. Boris Vujčić, as well as one of the Minister of Finance Mr. Zdravko Marić, PhD, and other distinguished domestic and foreign speakers.
For the eleventh year in a row, Poslovni dnevnik, in cooperation with the Zagreb Stock Exchange, awards companies that have achieved the best investor relations: the third prize was awarded to Valamar Riviera d.d., the second to Podravka d.d., and the first to Atlantic Grupa d.d. The Zagreb Stock Exchange also awarded a special recognition for quality reporting on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the business of the company Sunce Hoteli d.d.
