News: Zagreb and Macedonian stock exchanges signed an agreement on cooperation

The Macedonian Stock Exchange and the Zagreb Stock Exchange have signed a Cooperation Agreement, which aims to improve professional knowledge and professional development of direct and indirect participants in the Macedonian capital market through Zagreb Stock Exchange Academy seminars.

Participants from Macedonia will have the opportunity to attend trainings on various topics related to capital markets, such as portfolio management, use of financial statements, investor relations, regulatory framework of the capital market within EU regulations, risk management, corporate governance and others.

The Academy of the Zagreb Stock Exchange will soon mark the 11th anniversary of its work, during which more than 10,000 individuals attended various forms of education. Today, the Academy is the largest provider of educational services in the field of finance in Croatia and in the region, and we will be pleased to share our knowledge with colleagues from Macedonia. Considering our long-term cooperation in various fields, we can once again thank the Macedonian Stock Exchange for the trust and we believe that this Agreement establishes long-term and fruitful cooperation in the field of education, said Ivana Gažić, President of the Zagreb Stock Exchange’s Management Board.

The Director of the Macedonian Stock Exchange, Ivan Šteriev, said: By signing this cooperation agreement, the Macedonian Stock Exchange simultaneously achieves two goals: enriches the opportunities for education of interested domestic entities for overall functioning of the capital market and deepens the strategic cooperation with the Zagreb Stock Exchange. More know-how in the capital market is an essential need for many, from those who work or want to work in the industry, to investors who need more knowledge to make more informed decisions, and finally know-how to the issuers of securities. Through the increasingly present model of on-line education, and as a result of the partnership between our institutions, I expect that we will offer the very first trainings to the Macedonian audience soon.
