Skopje, May 4, 2023 - Macedonian Capital Market Days were held in Skopje for the first time, organized by the Macedonian Stock Exchange and co-organized by the Zagreb Stock Exchange.

The aim of the event is to familiarize the participants of the Croatian capital market with the Macedonian market, in order to facilitate Croatian investors' access to that market and explore the possibilities of mutual cooperation and exchange of knowledge and experience.

More than 50 representatives of Croatian and Macedonian investment companies, pension and investment funds, companies listed on both stock exchanges, regulators, depositories and other infrastructure organizations of the financial market of both countries gathered in Skopje.

The participants were addressed by Ivan Šterijev, the Director of the Macedonian Stock Exchange, Ivana Gažić, the President of the Zagreb Stock Exchange, and Nora Aliti, the President of the Macedonian regulator, expressing their satisfaction with the great interest in the Macedonian market.

The following events featured presentations on the Macedonian capital market and presentations of companies listed on the Macedonian Stock Exchange.

The Zagreb Stock Exchange is currently the largest shareholder of the Macedonian Stock Exchange, with an ownership share of 29.98%.

It has been collaborating very successfully with the Macedonian Stock Exchange for many years on the exchange of knowledge and experience, intensively since 2014, when SEE Link LLC Skopje was established jointly with the Bulgarian stock exchange, in which the three exchanges share equal ownership stakes. The Zagreb and Macedonian stock exchanges are also signatories to a cooperation agreement in the field of education, and Macedonian companies participate in investment conferences organized by the Zagreb Stock Exchange independently or in cooperation with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.

The Macedonian market offers extremely interesting investment opportunities and through this event we wanted to further introduce them to Croatian capital market participants. We have a long history of high-quality cooperation with the Macedonian Stock Exchange. Considering the ownership connection, we wish to deepen this cooperation to our mutual satisfaction in order to provide greater visibility to the regional market and to all our companies on the global investment map, said Ivana Gažić, President of the Management Board of the Zagreb Stock Exchange
