The Ljubljana and Zagreb Stock Exchanges once again hosted the investment conference "CEE Investment Opportunities" in Ljubljana.This event has been held since 2014, twice a year, providing investors and analysts the opportunity to gain deeper insights into the operations and plans of Slovenian and Croatian issuers through one-on-one meetings.
The conference featured 10 Croatian companies (AD Plastik, Arena Hospitality Group, Atlantic Grupa, Hrvatski Telekom, Valamar, Span, Podravka, Končar Elektroindustrija, Žito, ING-GRAD) and 8 Slovenian companies (Krka, Petrol, Sava Re, Telekom Slovenije, Skupina Triglav, Luka Koper, NLB, Cinkarna Celje).
More than 50 analysts and investors from Croatia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, and Estonia actively participated in the conference, holding nearly 200 meetings.
Both the Ljubljana and Zagreb Stock Exchanges will continue to conduct individual and joint activities aimed at fostering investor interest.
During the event, the Deputy Director of the Securities Market Agency, Sabina Bešter, addressed the attendees, and presentations were held on the Slovenian capital market and the path of the Bucharest Stock Exchange to Emerging Market status. The event was complemented by a panel discussion on the development of capital markets in Central and Eastern Europe and the potential for Croatia and Slovenia to become Emerging Markets. The general conclusion was that such a step is only possible through the coordinated efforts of the state, stock exchanges, regulators, and market participants, along with long-term commitment and continuous work.
